Joint Workforce Investment (JWI) is a partnership between the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA)
and the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 265 (ATU)

JWI Apprenticeship Programs
- 1. Coach operator Apprenticeship
- Coach operator apprenticeship is a formal apprenticeship registered with the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS), AND the United States Department of Labor Apprenticeship (USDOL)
- 2. Light Rail Operator Apprenticeship
- RAIL operator apprenticeship is a formal apprenticeship registered with the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS), AND the United States Department of Labor Apprenticeship (USDOL)

- Our Service Mechanic Apprenticeship Program is A gateway to a rewarding career in transit vehicle maintenance.
- 4. Track worker Apprenticeship
- This program combines classroom education with immersive on-the-job training, providing a well-rounded learning experience that prepares you for success.
- 5. Overhead Line Apprenticeship
- This program empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to become certified skilled Overhead Line workers.
